DOPT Initial Pay fixation of re-employed ex-servicemen in Railways – Initial Pay fixation of commissioned officer Rank in Defence Forces, retired before attaining the age of 55 years Railways

Government Of India, Ministry Of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Department of Personnel & Training issued circular vide No.6/2/2018(PMOPG/D/2018/0044515)-Estt.(Pay-II) dated the 13th April 2018 & 23th April 2018 regarding Initial Pay fixation of re-employed ex-servicemen who held posts below commissioned officer Rank in Defence Forces, retired before attaining the age of 55 years and have been appointed on re-employment basis in civilian posts in Railways and details as follows.

1.Please refer to your letter dated 29.01.2018 on the subject cited above, received through Prime Minister’s Office vide their ID Note dated 2.2.2018

2. It is informed that as per the guidelines of the Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances available on the CPGRAMS Portal, “Suggestions” registered on the portal cannot be treated as Grievances. The extant instructions of this Department in r/o pay fixation of re-employed ex-servicemen PBORs, who retired before attaining the age of 55 years, provide that, pay fixation is to be governed by instructions contained in para 4(b)(i) read with para4(d) of this Department’s OM No.3/1/85-Estt.(Pay-II) dated 31.07.1986 as amended from time to time.
